Indoor Cricket Season Underway

8 years ago   |   By Kirsty Sockett

The 2019 Indoor League began last Sunday at Bridge Street Sports Centre in Leominster. 5 of the 10 teams participating, in the six-a-side competition, started their campaigns last Sunday and Burghill are the early pacesetters, by winning their 2 matches against Bromyard and Ludlow. After a tie between Strollers and Luctonians both teams recorded wins against Bromyard and Ludlow respectively.

Teams get 10 points for a win, with 5 points for a tie, and bonus points are awarded for both batting and bowling. For every 40 runs scored there is a bonus batting point, up to 3 for 120 and over, and for every 2 wickets there is a bonus bowling point, up to 3 for 6 wickets.

Next Sunday (20th January) the other 5 teams will be in action. They are Canon Frome, Dales, Garnons, Kington and Tenbury.
